Welcome to the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu
Founded in 1997, the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu has dedicated the last 25 years to community, youth, and international service. We aspire to be the mightiest group of diverse individuals who consistently make a positive impact in the community through service projects that empower Hawai'i's youth, as well as support those who impact them.

Our club of 30+ members is comprised of business, civic, and professional leaders from Honolulu dedicated to making O'ahu, Hawai'i, and the world a better place to live. We have a special connection to Ke‘elikōlani Middle School (KMS), formerly Central Middle School, and focus much of our time and attention to ensuring the students, faculty and administration there has the resources it needs to thrive. Our club focuses on improving the lives of youth in the Downtown Honolulu area, with a passion and focus on literacy, scholarships, mentoring and community service. Some of our club's marquee projects include an annual 4-way Essay Contest for the students at KMS, a Dictionary Drive, and Campus Beautification Day.

We were recently named Rotary District 5000's "2021-2022 Mid-Size Club of the Year" and are excited for our club's next 25 years.

We meet every Friday and invite guest speakers from the community to inspire our members, discuss and plan service projects for the year, and get together to socialize and network in fun and engaging ways. It is through those connections that we can work to get things done in our community. If you are interested in learning more about Rotary or joining our club, please email us or contact any club member to learn more. We'd enjoy the opportunity to meet and connect with you!

To accommodate changing & remote work schedules, the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu meets in a hybrid fashion via zoom and in-person at either Ke'elikolani Middle School or the Pacific Club.
Every other month, for some club fellowship, we replace our breakfast meeting with a club pau hana.

Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu recognized by the Honolulu City Council
At this year's 2023-2024 Leadership Change-over dinner, the Council of the City & County of Honolulu presented a Certificate recognizing and congratulating the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu and their Outgoing Board Members.

Much mahalos to all of the City Councilmen and Women for their recognition, and a special shoutout to our club's City Councilman, Tyler Dos Santos-Tam, for joining us for this special dinner and presenting this recognition to our outgoing board members.
